Location Markham, Ontario This is an on-site role as the hiring team will require the student to work in the Markham office throughout the entire duration of the co-op work term. Program Term 12-month position from May 6, 2024 - April 25, 2025 with a possibility (no guarantee) for a 4-month summer extension The Role As the UI & Automation Engineering Co-op, you will have a unique opportunity to work within the AI GPU Software Group (AGS) who is responsible for the GitHub community end user support of ROCm on AMD AI portfolio of products. What you'll be doing Support ROCm community end user support group for their automation need on issue reproduction and debug Write designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices Execute automating test cases with AI framework related (ex. PyTorch, TensorFlow). Collaborate with cross functional teams, SMEs, end users of ROCm & SW components teams What you'll learn Exposure to AI test automation infrastructure, and potential to implement enhancements to test cases and infrastructure automations Hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of AMD AI SW SDK Increase problem-solving capability and communication skills Team work |

Key Qualifications 3rd year student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field/discipline Must be returning to school following the internship Interest in Artificial Intelligence Knowledge in automation & UI development Written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Proficient in JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS Prior experience with Django, React, Vue.js and visualization frameworks like d3.js Proven problem-solving skills Detailed oriented |
