Job Description: Northbridge Financial Corporation is looking for Automation Developers to help deliver light-weighted automation testing software applications that could identify, analyze, and document problems effortlessly.

Our QA Automation team is looking for candidates with impressive technical aptitude and a passion for software engineering. The successful candidate will join our fast-paced agile project group and play a crucial role in the software development team. You and your teammates will be responsible for making a remarkable impact on the productivity of our complex insurance systems software that keeps us ahead of the competition in the industry. You will also be responsible for the evolution of automation to increase delivery speed and take initiatives to evolve our QA processes within the organization.

Job Requirements: What you will do:
  • Refine requirements to ensure all information, including the acceptance criteria, is correctly captured
  • Design, develop, and execute end-to-end automation test scenarios involving multiple web application layers
  • Provide comprehensive bug reports, accurate test estimates and timely reports on test progress to QA leadership
  • Participate in code reviews, improve the quality of application products, processes, code base, and technology stack
  • Research new technology and tools and share findings with the team

School Program Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or related field
  • Currently enrolled in 2nd year or greater

Qualifications:
  • Solid programming skills in Python, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages
  • Experience in writing clear and effective unit tests
  • Exposure to working with JSON/XML data, APIs, and API testing tools such as Postman
  • Experience with version control tools (Git/Microsoft TFVC)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new products
  • Be able to work both independently and with a wide variety of teams

Nice to have:
  • Knowledge and experience with C#, .NET, Python PyTest
  • Knowledge and experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cucumber, Mocha)
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD), understand various phases of testing, such as unit test, functional test, integration test, system test, and performance / load test
  • Exposure to working with RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with SQL database language
  • Familiarity with web application testing (browser compatibility, responsive testing, etc.)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline, DevOps
  • Exposure to cloud computing, public cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure)
