At Interaxon, we develop engaging experiences using brain sensing technology. We are a passionate team of researchers, technical experts and scientists building the world's leading science-based brain platform to empower personal transformation through human-centered innovation. Our Muse 2 and Muse S headbands are designed to make meditation and sleep easier and provide real-time audio and visual feedback on your meditative state through the Muse companion app. As a PEY Student on our App team, you will be mentored through the entire app development process from the initial ideation phase, to design, to development and launch. Your code will be deployed to production and will be used by thousands of users everyday. You will have an opportunity to learn tools commonly used in Android software development including Android Studio, Kotlin, Android Jetpack, Realm, git and ReactiveX. What you'll be doing: - Building new app features for our core app, Muse, on the Android platform. - Working collaboratively across teams to define problems and discuss technical design solutions. - Resolving defects within our codebase to improve overall App quality. - Documenting your technical designs to educate others. - Testing code, ensuring high test coverage and shipping code that you are proud of. - Learning and improving on existing technology, code, and platforms. |

| Job Requirements: |
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and computer science principles - Understanding of mobile apps - Experience building native iOS or Android Apps is a plus - Familiarity with software development life cycle and agile methodology. - Familiarity with UI and UX design principles and a good eye for what looks good. - Familiarity with unit testing and end-to-end testing methodologies. - Basic understanding of client/server communication |
