Department Description:

The Data Science platform provides support to several vaccine manufacturing processes on Toronto site, within the framework of the Manufacturing Technology (MTech) department. The main activities of Data Science group is in data engineering, data management, web-based applications, statistical analysis and process control, and advanced process data analytics.??

Responsibilities:

This role will support the Data Science team with data contextualization, data engineering, and deployment of data analytics solutions in the dev/prod environment.
  • Design schemas and maintain relational databases including MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, and SQLite
  • Support the front-end implementation and maintenance of web-based dashboards and monitoring tools.
  • Support data analytics activities.
  • Develop and upgrade graphical user interfaces and scripts for data analytics and visualization, and integrate codes with language-specific frameworks and environments.
  • Provide technical support and software debugging to all users Perform ETL activities (Extract, Transform, Load) such as data cleansing, manipulation, and integration to support process data warehouse project activities.
Job Requirements: Basic qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student at an accredited university, in an accredited Co-Op program and have completed at least one year of study, with plans to return to school after the assignment.
  • Education: Working towards a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Bioinformatics, and other related Engineering fields
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 8.0 on a 12.0 scale
  • Technical skills: Proficient in use of MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Must be legally eligible to work for Sanofi in Canada
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally entitled to work for Sanofi in Canada for the duration of the assignment.

Technical Qualifications:
  • Professional programming experience in Python is a must Understanding of relational databases and SQL queries.
  • Experience with deploying data analytics/engineering solutions to cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Experience with JavaScript and web frameworks such as Django is an asset
  • Knowledge of data analytics concepts, and familiarity with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-Learn
  • Selected candidates will be required to learn and design interactive web applications (Power BI, Flask)
