This is an on-site role as the hiring team will require the student to work in the office throughout the entire duration of the co-op work term. 
 
Program Term:
The role is a 16-month position.

The Role
Have you seen a Blue Screen of Death while working on a computer and hate how it interrupts your work? Have you experienced a sudden system crash and made you lose your game? If so, now is your chance to help eliminate all these bugs and enhance the user experience for millions of AMD users around the world.  
In this role, you will gain a unique experience in the graphics industry by being exposed to challenging work associated with Software, Hardware and Operating Systems.   
 
What you’ll be doing
Follow test plans and perform manual testing on new SW features in graphics driver
Perform automated testing on a pool of test machines, check and report results
Own one or more test benches to maintain, add or remove test machine pools
File issue reports on SW defects found in testing
Perform experimental and regression testing to investigate the root cause of the defect
Assemble individual hardware components into test machine
Work on one or more test automation projects with other team members

Job Requirements: Key Qualifications
3rd Year student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
Returning to school following the co-op term
Written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an emphasis on product development
 
Preferred Qualifications 
Have taken or in process of taking SW Development related courses 
Knowledge of computer related hardware 
Knowledge of computer architecture 
Experience with software testing outside of school projects 
Experience with assembling PCs, troubleshooting hardware issues, benchmarking 
Experience with scripting languages such as VBScript, Python, PowerShell, etc.
